Question on how to remove rear console door
Looking to replace the middle console going up between the seats in my 06 Z4MR. Has anyone been able to remove the door to get to the hidden bolts and if so can you tell me how? I have searched on here, youtube, pelican, etc and one spot says to just lower the door and pull it off. Another says to lower the door and remove the two small phillip head screws then remove small caps then pull. Tried just pulling and that did not work. Then removed the screws from each side but was unable to get the small caps off or even tried just pulling without success. I have a full replacement console so that is what I have been working on as it is a lot easier to work on it to see how things work since it is outside the car. Trying to do this without busting any plastic pieces!
Thanks in advance for any assistance provided! |

Try reading the TIS on how to remove. You will find the TIS online.

Thank you for the info. After finding it this is the first time I have found where it states to put a piece of wire into the door on the side of it once opened. Even with that being done though along with screw released I was still unable to remove the door from the console.
