Floaty after a lowering spring

It's not my Z but another car.

Is the general consensus that when I use lowering spring on OE shocks, car is floatier (softer rocking back and forth more than OE at highway speed) means the the OE shocks are not strong/hard enough to properly push back quick enough when compressed?

Only apparently during highway speed after a big slow dip/bump..

If it feels harsh/jarring when you hit potholes (slower speeds) and floaty/bouncy on dips (highway) speeds then the shocks are worn. How many miles on them? If the springs are really aggressive, I'd consider replacing with a non-oem shock (e.g. Koni or Bilstein).

Only has 4000 miles on this brand new car. Spring lower it by about 1". slow speed are fine like OE. Only at highway speed.
spring is too hard for the OE shocks or ther other way around?

as said before, if the car is moving around on the springs, the shocks are rubbish/shot/need to be replaced. dropping the ride height with stock shocks brings another issue with it aswell as those shocks are designed for stock ride height. if your changing ride height, go for a shock/spring combo that is know to work well.

Thanks,Vanne. Unfortunately, no lowering shock/coilover is available unless go to airbags.

I used a set of h&r lowering springs with hd Billy struts. Perfect combo and pretty darn cheap. (Z4 specific parts)
