Swapped out the style 23's for the stock Z4MC 18" wheel after they were refinished.

I did not experience any issues with the 17" setup.
It certainly handles better with summer rubber and they 18's though.

Well, I decided to bite the bullet and take care of all the major S54 items. It all started with my first oil change when the new plug wouldn't seat all the way back in the pan. Apparently the previous oil changer didn't use a torque wrench and stripped the threads, so the oil pan needed a time-sert, which I wanted to have professionally done. I was also due for a valve adjustment...and then just went for it all.
1. Vanos Upgrade to Dr. Vanos, including seals and oil pump disc + upgraded supply lines. - The exhaust hub tab was broken (see pics) so this was a no-brainer. 2. Rod Bearings (WPC). Car had stock bearings at 127k, so I felt that it was on borrowed time. The pics looked decent for the mileage and my first Blackstone report was spotless, but there's copper visible in the closer up image. 3. Driveshaft Guibo - was cracked, plus I was getting some drivetrain vibration. 4. Engine mounts...came out in two pieces 5. Recharge the AC 6. Code out TPMS 7. Oil pan time sert 8. Valve adjustment Pretty sure this will be my reaction when I go to pay Shortly followed by this when I turn the key

Some updated pictures post Vanos work and after getting the intake shroud re-powdercoated. Engine bay is finally looking better, but still needs some detail work.

A quick run to Ikea and a pic of a dirty car + debadged the M's off the side. Anyone want to guess the car in the Z's reflection?

Correct! You win the satisfaction of knowing you won
Got the orange bumper reflectors out and painted to match the body.
