New VMR 810's. Love the wheel but the ride is shit! Not sure what is going on. Got a vibration in my wheel, troubleshooting is getting me nowhere.

It usually comes down to hub centric issues or balancing. It would be best to start a new thread on your issue for more help with it

Had the same issue when I switched from 19" to 18" set up. Road -force balancing solved the issue for me.

This looks really good. I'm so torn between this setup or OEM CSLs......

Not very exotic.. stock OEM wheels on my '07 3.01, but I like them. I still have to do some work on repairing some pretty severe curb rash the former owner did, but the other day I painted the calipers, nuts and valves... and the lower front air dam/bumper and grill spliter and I like the results. The whole bottom dam/bumper was really scared up and nicked up, so I prepped, primed and painted the whole lower part and decided to add the red "tongue" accent. I kind of like it. I also blacked out the chrome kidney rings.

Now you need a BBK to fill up all that empty space.

this page should be able to answer your questions, though i see you're not in an ///m. i highly doubt that rear size will fit without substantial modification to the car.

My E85 2007 OEM style 200 wheels newly powder coated... I really like the looks of these with my Jet Black exterior and it was a lot cheaper then buying new aftermarket wheels.

Thanks... Tire matching questions... I have 255 35r 18 on a 9.5 wheel...what would closest match be for an 8.5" wide wheel? Would 225 35r 18 match? |

I had completely forgotten about this thread. Got these BBS CI-R on the car for about 6 months now. Really liking the Platinum Silver - Still on the light side, but just dark enough to hide some brake dusts

I ran 18x8.5 fronts with 225 40 18 and 18x9.5 rears with 265 35 18 for the past 2 years...recently I had to order new tires due to excessive inner wear after both rear springs broke. I moved down to 225 35 front and 255 35 rear. Eventually I'll probably lower it and this reduced tire size should ease that ride height change.

When I originally picked out my wheel setup someone on this or another z4 board stated that this size combo worked out be be the closest match for final resulting size between 8.5 and 9.5 wheels. Was actually the front that was "taller" being the 40 series. But to be honest the combo was a very good match visually you could not tell a difference.

Front sidewall height: 225mm x 35% = 78.75mm Rear sidewall height: 255mm x 35% = 89.25mm So the rears on your new setup WILL be "taller" than the fronts Your previous setup are actually much closer matched with the rears just slightly more "taller": Front sidewall height: 225mm x 40% = 90.00mm Rear sidewall height: 265mm x 35% = 92.75mm |
