zero slope testing road so no doubts about being downhill or actual gps speed . Using videos for time to speed is horrible for multiple reasons including speedometer error . With my gearing and stiff track suspension no point trying to launch it though lol. I may have 2 shifts for both 100-200 km and 60-130 mph because of my short gearing , so that will slow things down . I will say even with the aero I am hitting 3 mph more on the front straight 153mph GPS so she is running strong with the same 525 set up . |

Due to my gearing (3.91) I just have to change only one gear which definitely minimizes the possible error and makes it more consistent. This particular video was taken with a passenger 85kg and half a tank of fuel. Next days I will borrow a V-box from a friend and post the results, so we will know the exact 100-200km timing not having any doubts. Today I had the chance to visit a local tuning shop owned by a good friend and we took the car out for some data logging on the streets. AFR was 12.1 to 12.2 on the limiter with 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear and timing was maximized at 25 degrees. My friend was amazed from how well the car has been tuned and how consistent was the AFR making almost a straight line. ESS did an excellent job. Well done guys. Below a picture from the data logging. I have already asked him to provide me with all the data in detail for further discussion...... |

Byron, from my previous race with the M5E60 which has 8.8sec from the above chart it looks like we had a sec difference and that was when I was running the car catted. The distance between the cars was really big . We did several pull from various speeds and gears. At each gear the coupe was pulling couple of cars away. Really there was no comparison at all. Anyway V-box will short out everything....... |

For our power levels 3.91 is ideal, you can push the car up to the 300km/hr!!!! do you prefer it from 4.10? 3-4 can be really quick, 4-5 is a bit tricky and will add another 0.3-0.5sec to your 60-130readings.... How many miles 4th gear goes? According to my speedometer is reaching 210km/hr at 8160rpm. Another reading that we did today and I forgot to mention is the intake temperature. With a weather temperature of 19C the car intake was running at 27C and that when being pushed. It seems that the intake is very well designed and not being affected a lot by the engine temperature..... |

Ive timed my shifts, and I can do a 6-3 shift in 0.3sec, and that is including the clutch operation (made a video of it and counted the frames of my leg operating the clutch, it was the only way I could think of to time such a thing). And that is a considerable 3 gear downshift (with throttleblib obviously), an upshift will be much faster.

Your tyre set up is smaller 0.527'' (13,4mm) diameter wise than mine as I am running 265/30/19 with a dia of 25.26'' (641.6mm). I have to check with Vbox and GPS what is the actual speeds I am running at, I am really curious... Water temperature at my car is running at 81C levels and from the day I decatted the car oil temperatures have not crossed 100C. Vented hood is really working for you!!! nice....... |

I will mate...... dont worry!!
The sound is really nice, totally different from RPIs.. You can listen to the engine, the whistle from the blow off valve and most importantly the straight six.... it's a deeper clearer M-power sound. |

After long time being hold back due to business and traveling abroad, yesterday finally managed to install Harry's Lap timer application which has the option of measuring 100-200km/hr. I dont know how accurate this software is but according to various reviews it seems to be close to reality. Being very tempted I decided to take out my Z for some testing.
Outside temperature was 12C Fuel used was 100 Oct (Shell Racing) Weight of car 1440kg without driver and 1/2 tank Last dyno was 476whp; car now is running without cats probably running a bit stronger 3.91 final drive 19 csl wheels with 235/35/19 & 265/30/19 Michelin SS tires Run was recorded at 2% downhill I know that results are way better than any of my expectations and surely will create lots of arguing and discussions, but I thought to share it with you all. |
