Update:
Massive rewire in process. Removing wires that aren't needed and running new wires where necessary. Still trying to find a good wiring diagram so I can sort out the fuse box. [IMG][/IMG] Turns out there is an unused hole directly behind the driver's side cylinder head that is just about perfect match for my engine harness grommet. [IMG][/IMG] Very happy about that as the engine harness will basically "disappear" once the fuel rail covers are installed. Inside the car, the harness will be just to the left of the HVAC housing and is accessible. [IMG][/IMG]

z4 headaches
My dilemma: LOCATION. I am in mountains of western NC and, while dealerships have been especially helpful (Asheville) I am nowhere near any of them. Have 2011 z4 35i. Mechanic here actually f'd up old engine, AND a 25k miles replacement (never flushed engine of sludge in Vanos gears and shredded the cam bearings). The engine had sat up for some years, so engine flush SHOULD have been a no brainer - AND he is BMW certified. Now have another engine in it, but far, far inferior to either original or the perfect engine he f'd.
Now, looking to swap a GM crate V8 into her and get a reliable, serviceable power plant and keep the zed for .... ever. Any help from the gallery? |

I spoke with him at about that timeframe and he had sold the project and moved on.
Can't remember now what I was after at the time.
