Hockey thread 2016/2017 season.

About time to get a new season going--looking forward to REAL sports. Sharks open up on Monday vs Kings. I'm still feeling good about watching hockey last season into June...and realize the chance of that repeating is small, but I'm just happy to get back to hockey. I haven't paid a whole lot of attention to changes made by other teams, anybody has info on that please share.

Sharks had a very good run just ran into a hotter Pittsburg team no reason they cannot make it back again. Watch out for Matthews/Leafs this year could surprise some people. Edmonton just named McDavid captain youngest ever in NHL history. Arizona is my Cinderella team to much talent not to make and go far in playoffs.

There are way more important sports on right now to get a Hockey thread.

Baseball Playoffs, NFL, NBA, WNBA offseason, Dancing With the Stars...

Nope. Baseball playoffs....zzzz...zzz..that's it... NFL...entertaining , but...politics. All that other stuff...don't know what that is. Hockey...yeah the only sport where no one plays politics, don't make so much money that bling is the name of the game, get teeth knocked out and just keep playing, don't whine, play back to back days and still don't whine and did I say they just play hard and don't whine.

All you guys who don't like the sport, understand the sport or think the season is too long..no big deal. For those of us that do, jump in.

Red Wings gonna be mediocre again for the 6th season straight. Holland doesn't seem to give a d*mn and should've been relieved of his duties a couple seasons ago. How the mighty have fallen

jgoens I thought I heard Kings opening was Friday night, but I guess that is HOME opener. Instead we start the regular season with a win against the Sharks in SanJo

Right now all the cb says for sure is that Vikings will NOT lose this week
