Just bought a 03 z4 3.0...

The in service date was August of 03 so it just ran out of warranty. What do you guys recommend as far as getting an extended warranty and also what about the bmw maintenence plan?

The car only has 13k miles, it's a cherry. Drove it all the way from Wisconsin back home to KC, fun drive. It has pretty much every option, Nav, heated seats, xenon, sport package, premium package, 6spd. Thanks in advance!!

Can you still do an extended warrenty after the original has already gone out? I don't think so. Congrats on the new car, pictures are always welcome

I'll get pics up as soon as I can but it's been raining here like crazy lately, thanks for the advice on the warranty. There seems to be a lot of different companies out there, any one better than the other?

I wouldn't go out of your way to get a warranty on it (IMHO). I've had a couple minor problems with the car, but many of them could've (and would've) been avoided if I had visited some of the Z4 forums sooner to learn some of the DIY's and such.

BMW's are expensive to repair—I will not own one without an EW.

As for third party warranties... I have bought several warranties through our little credit union, if you have a local credit union you might check with them. The company we use is Intercontinental, see link below... these guys are for real, they paid thousands in repairs for our Dodge van, never asked questions...
