Do you think it's worth purchasing that set right now since the price is so low? I don't think we need the carriers and calipers that comes with the kit right?
Also I check the part numbers of the brakes from our cars against m3 zcp they are different part numbers |

I'm meeting with the owners of RacingBrake tomorrow to see if there's any new development with a rear figment that works.

Just had my brakes done for the second time. It was paid by BMW Canada since I had purchased an extra wear & tear warranty. Car is at 37000 km They said my wearing & tearing is more tearing than wearing, so they won't pay for another future switch even if it expires in March 2012. I have to agree. That extra warranty was well worth it. They needed to replace both front calipers since they were not able to re-install them due to a seizing problem (?) I will track 12 days this year in advanced group. I now need to plan ahead on replacements for my brakes. I won't mind paying extra on initial purchase if it will save me a bunch of money in the future. Any ideas on what I should do? |

You can start by adding the front MZ4 rotors from RacingBrake. The improved cooling will alleviate some of the problems you may be facing. I'm taking my MZ4 Coupe with me to RB today to see if they needed additional measurement to finish up the rear rotor development (although the last set of rotors I gave back to them has all the measurements and changes required to make it fit).
http://www.racingbrake.com/Z4M_FRONT...102-311-01.htm It takes 4-6 weeks because they don't stock the hubs (low volume mover). If I can manage to convince more E46 M3 guys to use this then they'll likely to stock it (hubs the same).

So, good news bad news. He's got EVERYTHING ready to make these rear rotors as well. But demand is low. He'll make a batch if there's an order of 10 rotors or more. The pad issue will be resolved just like how Performance Friction does the rear, by offering a different fitment than OEM.
The good news...he's thinking about releasing a caliper set that works directly with RB rotors, meaning you can buy the rotors, and if it does not solve all of your braking ills, you can buy 4 or 6 piston matched fix calipers designed in-house, with custom brackets, if you want more direct feel in the pedals and easier way to change pads. More info to come.

Yeah. That's the downside. The upside is it's 2mm thicker (more material), and in the future only rotor rings need replacing (http://www.racingbrake.com/BMW-335i-...403-03-381.htm).
If you calculate the cost per mm that you're actually buying it's not as expensive as it seems. (Stock is 28mm, min 26.4mm, vs. 30mm for RB. That's $246/mm for RB and over $300/mm for stock, where stock rotor+hat is about $500.). Replacement RB is less than 500, again, 30mm, and comes out $138/mm. (That's assuming the min thickness for RB is same as stock, and I believe it is.) |

I need to change my front rotors and I saw those rotors for sale, not sure if I should buy them over OEM?
