Looking at the pictures, they appear to be centered, not offset. I know this works because one or two others on the forum have done this.
Before I jump, I just want to know all the variables so I can plan for the unexpected. . |

...not powerflex.
The ones I ordered are out of the UK and are offset. Check here... http://www.superflex.co.uk/proddetai...od=SF095-2558K & here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z4-M-O...30855932966%26 Last edited by inTgr8r; 02-24-2013 at 03:52 PM.. |

The bushings just arrived.
The quality looks 1st rate. Install is still a little ways off, but I'll take a couple of pics with measurements when I get a few minutes. I'll start a new thread so that it's easier to find later on.

Yes they are a direct fit.
I think You will need a proper setup to press these yourself though. ....might be easier to just pull off the bush and have them done.

I think you only need a small workplace press? Maybe 15 tons or so (they cost only about $200 and every workplace should have one imho)? That's usually enough for the biggest bushes (especially when only pressing in is a must; removal can also be done with a small grinder and stone, grinding through the old metal bush)

So? already installed?
There is also a variant on this superpro bushing. http://www.bavauto.com also has an 66mm offset bushing It 's used (like the superpro) in normal z4/3series to change the caster angle. And I think this one will maybe also fit the stock z4m It's currently on sale (clearance item so stock is limited) for like $7/piece I can't post a link (java site) but it's Part # : N52606BAV If you select a 2004 z4 3.0i you can get there through the menues (It won't list with another car it was not intended for)

Installed. The shop had no problem installing the new Super Flex bushings. Completed track event at Summit Point (main). The car was much better behaved under hard braking.

Finally got these installed & glad I did.
When I got into it, I found that both of my OE FCABs were done!!! Both of them had split the rubber along the narrow side of the offset. This is definitely a weak spot on the OE FACBs. It makes sense since there is just not much rubber to flex, so it tears. I tried to get a couple of pics but split rubber just didnt show up well. I did jet a pic of the finished job though..... Looking forward to a test drive

Not bad....
Biggest problem is getting the old ones off. .....easy if you have a puller though.
