CSLs Purchased - Which Tires
07 z4MC - stock suspension. Maybe I'd lower it 1/2" down the road....
Ordered the rims through ECS, and a pair of 10MM spacers. Driven approx 3K miles per year. Treadwear is not important. It will see rain every once in a while. Not Ice, no cold weather. Looking around it seems the general consensus is that a 245/35R19 should be on the front. Rears, looks like either 275 or 285 / 30R19 I'd like 285 if there is no rubbing. Why doesn't anyone like the Potenza tires? Seem to have good reviews on the Tire rack, number one extreme performance summer tire there... Please confirm that there will be no rubbing with these sizes, and why you chose the tire you did? Lower noise is also a plus. Thanks for the input guys. James |

I would go with 235/35 and 275/30. My friend has potenzas on his Porsche and they grip really well. Forum choice seems to be Michelin super sports

I actually prefer 275/35 in rear and 245/40 in the front. I don't like the series to be too small.
A 285 might rub. It would be very close. As dubsesd mentioned this forum loves the Super Sports. I haven't tried them but I definitely will be getting those when the time comes. |

I have dunlop star specs on the OEM wheels (18s), with 245 fronts, 275 rears. They do really grip and even in the wet, they've been pretty sticky. No rubbing whatsoever and the ride is good, not ultra-harsh sidewalls. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time behind the wheel with the original tire sizes, 225 fronts, 255 rears to compare the change in contact patch. I'm sure others could comment....
If you'd like to see a recent comparison test for all the hot tires, C/D did a great article. http://www.caranddriver.com/comparis...omparison-test |

I would go with super sports. I have had Advan Neovas, but they get seriously loud and are very stiff. Supersports are very grippy and comfortable. I had potenzas re960as and they did alright. Its all preference.

Think I'll give the supersports a shot. I liked the C&D article, thanks for that.
Looks like very close diameters with the 235/35R19 and the 275/30R19. Thanks for the help all. Wheels have been delayed by the storm, but they show Tuesday delivery. I know ECS has very few left, They had 2 sets after my purchase. |

Any reason you didn't go with the Sportline CS.16's? Just curious if you know something I don't.
I have the Super Sports on my M. They're excellent tires!

Geauxkart, any reason for the 10mm spacers? is it just a stance thing or do the CSL's require them? I always thought that with stock suspension, OEM CSL's will bolt on directly. Looking to get a set myself.
