Gel - Yes, I figured that out too. I should not have listened to the DIY saying it was easier to do through the access panel, it is certainly not. I removed the vent, then the radio and that took me only 5 minutes, not an hour and it required NO special tools. So, for all of you yet to do this, follow the instructions that come with the AUX, you will save yourself a lot of time and frustration.

Rosie, you will have to get your tools out and use them more often. You don't know what fun you are really missing!

Does this MOD work with DSP?
I don't believe I saw any mention of whether this works with Premium Sound with DSP. I have a 2003 3.0i
If so, this is the most easy and inexpensive MOD for IPOD! Any help is appreciated. Thanks Deko

A. This is not a MOD B. The point of AUX-In is to have the best sound repro. FM transmitters, no matter how good are limited FM bandwidth full of noise. Actually I am using an FM transmitter right now. It really sucks. Thanks anyway

Excellent points. Can't argue whether it is or is not a mod, but absolutely agree that the FM is not the best audio solution.
