What's the deal w Goodyear?
Hi...
I have Goodyear eagle F1 GS-D3's on my z and need to replace just the rears. But, nobody in North America has them! I've talked to several retailers (like tirerack) and they say Goodyear has stopped making 255/35/18 in this tire. The reason you can still find these tires listed for sale is Goodyear says they MIGHT do another run in 6 to 8 weeks. I really like these tires but will launch 'em if this is true. Any info welcome! |

Here's the deal. Talked to a Goodyear factory rep yesterday. He confirmed that they WILL do another 255/35/18 run of the Eagle F1's but said they had no idea when exactly that'd be. He said that a labor strike last year left them way behind on more popluar sizes/OEM tires and as soon as they caught up on those we'd be next. He says it's looking like 3mos away.
He did find 2 tires in vegas and is having them shipped to me (at a premium price, of course) In case you find yourself in my shoes. there are 2 more at a discount tire store (the chain) in N.C.,they wouldn't ship to CA tho. |

These are great tires. If they weren't so good, I'd tell ya to get some Yokohama's or equivalent.

so your rears wear out much faster than the fronts?
dude, you have to run the car on the track more often and stop pulling burnouts to impress the chicks
