WTB Looking for 06-08 Z4 m Coupe
I live in Western Canada and would prefer a Canadian car with a service history,no accidents, little or no modifications, and a manual transmission.
Anything out there ? Open to suggestions. Last edited by SKI-HI; 10-19-2011 at 06:19 PM.. |

At first glance, I'd say he's giving away the farm (for Canada anyhow). Seems like a great deal.

M Coupe
I am very familiar with this car, it was imported from the US and last year was involved in an accident and written off by the insurance company. The son of the owner bought it and did the rebuild. He claims the only parts changed where the right door, fender and a used airbag was reinstalled. The car now has a salvage title. Salvage tile cars are worth quite a bit less than clean cars.
The car has been for sale for quite a while. |

That's good to know. I was recently offered a trade in value for my car that was significantly higher than that. I bought my car last year and it has depreciated very little since then.
I was flirting with the idea of getting an M3 but after driving one I know that the Z4M is for me. |

Pity you don't want any mods. I've just swapped a couple of casual PM's with a fellow in Nova Scotia who is considering selling his Z4M. As the Service manager for an Audi dealership, he was authorized by Roman to install an ESS supercharger. He's done a few other things as well.... Just a passing acquaintance, but it might be a lead if you change your mind. Shipping is relatively cheap. Or fly out and drive it home.

Diving into a touchy subject, I have noticed there seems to be quite a difference between what owners feel there M Coupes are worth and what people are willing to pay for them. I have owned several vintage Porsche's ,British cars
etc.and have witnessed this phenomenon before. The reality is a car is worth ( good or bad ) what someone is willing to pay for it. Last edited by SKI-HI; 10-25-2011 at 06:05 PM.. |

They all have manual transmissions. A clean Canadian car with maintenance records and reasonable kilometers will cost you $35-$45K... < 200 (I seem to recall 187) were produced for the Canadian market so your ask is rare. Good Luck with the search.

Good information to have. It has been a difficult car to assign a realistic value, because of its rarity ,and so few examples come up for sale.

I would be willing to sell mine. No mods Black Sapphire on Sepang Bronze interior. I just bought brand new winters just put them on yesterday on gunmetal VMR v701 rims, plus I have the stock summer rims and tires also. 53000km. The catch is I don't know what I owe on it. I would have to call but I would be willing to sell it for what I owe. I live in Calgary and work at Calgary BMW if you are interested.

After purchasing 4 cars in 5 years from Victoria Mini/BMW, I've become pretty friendly with the staff and always get alerted to 'classics' that come in on trade. I usually go over every Saturday with the M for a wash and check out what's there.
The M Coupes are indeed rare here up north. I've seen 3 come through the dealership as Bol has indicated. They don't last long and are usually local cars (no snow and low KM). Having traded in my Z3, I just couldn't deny myself the convertible, but the coupes are like looking at a piece of art. Bob |
