lol it was rather "pricey" but looks very oem, and works well, if you notice every single pic with my car in the car is on trickle charge unless its out at the track...... it lasts literally 3 days!! PAtheTic!!

your chart looks pretty bang on...... i WISH we could get more TQ!!!!!!! after driving a stock 1M, it really reminded me of 2 things, how awesome the s54 is, how lacking in the Tq the s54 is!! it Really needs alittle more..... sighhhh but i cant honestly say the 1m would be a severe downgrade for me from my ///M z4 s/c, it does however have much better suspension... much better, nothing some kw clubsport cant sort :-)

We need a little more boost, and a lot less weight to get that extra torque feeling. Can you imagine if someone made CF doors with thin detachable CF door cards? I bet stock ones are heavy as fuck
A turbo would give you the torque, BUT it would really sacrifice the top end, and I'm not making that compromise. Look at how the power drops off on the modded 335i

Just wire up 4 of these in series:
http://www.electricmotorsport.com/st...pf_ts_40ah.php 40 ah vs the porsche's 18, and only 13 pounds (6kg for you beedub) I have no idea if they will fit however, do not quote me on saying they will. What are the dimensions of our battery box? EDIT: here's one that's already in series: http://www.electricmotorsport.com/st...f_gbs_40ah.php |

If you'll notice, it has 18 AH. That braille battery you posted only has 15. You'll probably need to keep it on a tender if you don't drive daily.
Or are you talking about a different experience from another thread? Not trying to get into a lithium vs lead thread here...sorry to derail. |

yeah tom it could just be a funny unit but honestly, if you look back at every single pick ive taken at my house you'll notice the trickle charge wie ;-) then again no biggy for me at all, was it worth the weight loss??? honestly,,,??? no i dont think it was!! id be better off getting really light wheels, lower unsprunf mass makes a huge difference imo.

About 1M, you will never fell the turbo kick and torque with a S/C kit. But the 1M hates high rpms like the S54 does (redline at 7000rpm with power falling at 6000rpm). The only solution for you seems to be HPF if you really love the car, or trade for a turbo car from factory (996TT value should be pretty close to your car and a few more pennies). My car has a 3.91 rear diff and if you want torque the 4.10 diff seems to be just right for you. You won't regret it, believe me. It totally transforms the car about torque felling at low rpm. The S/C doesn't do nothing in this range and it matches pretty well with a shorter diff ratio in mid and high rpm range. Question for you: During upshifts at wot only above 7000rpms, the SMGII delays the gear change (S6 seems S2/3). I have a HPF ST2 clutch in the box but wanted to be sure if it has something to do with clutch not holding the torque, SMG ECU programing or wear out?

Yeah, you need a big turbo to have big top end. Not sure I want the downgrade in throttle response and usable traction (on this chassis)
Other than the pulley, what else does the vt2-550 kit come with for the e46? My friend has a very strong 996tt, which will always be faster, but I'm trying to build the ultimate daily driver I weighed the volks, they're 17.5lbs each! The 19s I have on right now are 25.5lbs in the rear. The new tires are also lighter (28lbs), so I'm looking to lose 12.5lbs per corner
