It was a great deal and a fun car, but in retrospect, I wish I had held out for a 6 spd 3.0

rather than make a new post ive got another couple of questions while you guys all seem to be in here
1) How many of you have changed your run flats for standard tyres? 2) Are the side sils where the bmw logo is supposed to allow water in? When its been raining and I open my door I seem to have a nice little swimming pool |

1.) I'm still driving w/my runflats, they still have a few thousand miles left on them and I refuse to toss perfectly good tires. I probably will replace w/runflats when they need it because I hate changing tires and love bumpy rides
2.) My bmw blinker logo holds no water, everything is perfectly dry when I open my doors/trunk 3.) I'm sorry for your thread |

Yes, we were discussing that very thing at the GTG this past weekend. It is a big deal and I cannot lie: VERY noticeable but, the way I drive...trust me, knowing I have to slow down coming into a turn is probably a good thing!

haha thats fair enough, I just find it a little tiring having to right it everytime it sways off course. Do you think I could get a good price for my run flats now if I were to buy some new tyres?

That area on the door sill is where water drains from inside of the door. It is not part of the sealed portion of your door - that's just above that sill.
If you ever take a door apart after pulling in into a garage after driving in the rain you will find that lots of water gets inside of the door panel from the outside facing part of your window. There is a moisture seal between the window portion of your door and the interior parts and a baffle to keep water off of speakers. There are holes at the bottom of the door just outside of the seals to allow this to drain - right onto that sill you took a picture of....

I don't know, so many people detest them...I'm not sure what they go for used, here in the States or across the pond in your neck of the woods. Too bad we're not closer. Hell I'd buy them from you! I think I've got about 4 or 5 thousand miles only left on mine...

Hey... whatever you and enfield do in private is totally fine. Just don't mention it on the forum (young kids are reading it)! |
