My 2003 BMW Z4 2.5i Project
I have had this car for two years now and just recently got in the mode to do Mods to it.
This is what coming in the next two weeks: I also ordered the Coding software and cable to programme the following:
Done so far Facelift Headlights, Ipod Integration and Winshiled Molding replacement Any advice is greatly appreciated. All of the parts for the photo updates have been ordered and will take to body shop for colour matching then assemble GM |

Tail lights and bumper
Gypsymoth,
Curious, what are you going to do to the tail lights and bumper for a facelift? Looks like a few weekends of busy work, but fun if you have the space, tools, and $! Good luck and am hoping for frequent pics showing your progress! |

Here is a Photo of the New windshield moulding that i just did this past weekend.
About 1 hour of work removing old one and inserting new one into place. Another thing I'm replacing is the shifter knob with the ZHP version...ordered already.... iPod Touch Integration done as well...took me about 4 hours to do it, mostly finding the right cables to connect to the unit. Have full control using the CD Changer options... Received yesterday the Taillights and Rear Bumper and picking up the Updated Front Bumper today and will take them tomorrow to the bodyshop to get them painted after doing colour matching.... Moving Forward.... GM |

Removing the old one and making sure the space is very clean was the hardest part...putting the new one back on was pretty easy... |

I'd find used door panels on ebay, here, or car-parts.com. The door handle needs replacement too

Just installed the new Clear Side Markers:
Old side Marker (Orange): Turn Counter Clockwise and pull out, after that unplug from cable by releasing the holding clip from the connector: New Clear Side Marker and Badge: Clear Side Marker fully assembled: Plug in Clear Side Marker to cable ,make sure the clip is secured to the connector: Push inside fitting and turn clockwise to secure: View of the New side marker in place: Old Side Markers availlable for something else.... Now on hold until next week waiting on cable and software. Bumpers will be ready tuesday, but rest of parts for bumpers don't get here until wednesday.... Any feedback is welcome!!! Taking the car to get washed and waxed!!! GM |
