shifter flex?
I can flex (twist) the shifter left and right a few degrees. I checked, and its not the shift knob, its the actual shifter thats like that. Other than that, when driving, and only applying forces to the front and back of the shifter, its solid.
is something wrong?

I haven't noticed that myself.
I'll look for it the next time I'm out.

If you grip it you can turn it left or right in a twisting motion slightly.

I think thats normal, mine does it too. I am hoping the ZHP knob and an ssk will eliminate this though.

I think it's part of the design to minimize vibration in the shifter shaft & knob. The rotational movement really isn't noticeable unless you intentionally twist on the shifter. The aftermarket shifters remove some/all of this play to help obtain a more precise shift feel.
