$1100 GC Kit w/ front camber plates $1100
Price reduced $1100 I'm looking to go with and even lower ride height. To acomplish this I will have to go KW. I'm feeling out interest right now because my GC kit works very well and the change would be for cosmetic reasons alone. below I attached my response to another member who had questions about the GC kit. If I sell the kit I have both 6 and 6.5 inch springs for the rear to choose from. Response to member questions: 1) No squeaks, no clunks. When the road has several med. size bumps in a row I get a little bit of coil chatter in the rear. This is because I elected to go with a 6" rear spring instead of the recomended 6.5" spring. I did this because I wanted the rear end very low. With the the 6.5" springs I do not get the coil chatter 2) a)My spring rates are 450 front and 600 rear. The handling is awsome! The car now sits incredibly flat through turns at high speed. This has greatly increased my confidence in the coupes handling ability. One example is a 360 degree on ramp at the sky harbor airport (suggested speed 25 MPH) Before the GC kit I would enter @ 35 MPH and exit @ 65 MPH. I now enter @ 50 and exit @ 90. Even at 90 the coupe does not waiver, I chicken out because of the G's. The coupe is now very tight and very responsive. Another advantage is that the nose of the car no longer lifts or bobs under heavy acelleration. b)The ride comfort is surprisingly good. I have driven from Phoenix to northern Ca twice and the ride is very smooth, even better than stock. The only compromise has been over large bumps or pot holes. 3) I picked the kit up from GC directly. They are in Northern CA near where I grew up. When I ordered another set of rear springs, they shipped UPS ground the same day I ordered them. I recieved them two days latter. GC customer service has been really good, they will fit the kit to you desired needs. I wanted somthing built for track and long dist. travel. I Tack a few times a year and visit family in Ca a few times a year, so I needed a versitile kit. This is the coilover set up I picked up for $1850: -Front two way adj. struts built by Koni for Ground control and more specifically for the Z4M -rear adj. struts built by Koni for Ground control and more specifically for the Z4M -450lb front springs/ 600lb rear springs -Hybrid front camber plates (race plates with bushing so they do not make noise) -rear control arm rienforcement plates -special wrench for ride adjustment Hope this helps. I will likely go to KW clubsport because I want to lower the coupe even more. this will not be practical for the track. I Just like the way it looks and don't mind changeing the ride hieght for track days. In the photo's you have seen of mine, the rear is set to the lowest ride height. The front still has a lot more room to play. __________________
