Installing a new clutch, what else while I'm DOWN THERE?
Hello all,
My MC has a few power mods (evolve intake/tune , euro headers and SS race cans). The clutch has started to slip at 110k km. I know it's early for it to go but it is what it is. I'm installing a Spec stage 2+ clutch. I've done a clutch on an E92 335 x drive once before. Does anyone have any advice to share on the DIY or what else I should do while she's opened up? Guibo, RMS, SHIFT linkage? Tks |

If you're feeling ballsy maybe a new flywheel? You're already there lol. UUC makes a good combo and and chatter can be reduced by increasing the idle around 50-100 rpm. Obviously this isn't really a wear and tear part, but you know figured it was worth mentioning to matchup an aftermarket clutch with an aftermarket flywheel.

I'm installing a Spec stage 2+ clutch and Spec billet steel single mass flywheel.
idle Rpm is already at 1000 due to Evolve tune and carbon fiber box. I previously did a Spec stage 3+ on a JB3 modified e92. It worked great. Looking forward to this upgrade. The stock clutch pack was starting to slip at 110k km possibly due to upgrades/wear I'll post up once it's done. |
