Based on Performance Technic recommendation, ARP bolts were installed due to less installation time and are not aware of any issues using ARP bolts in their customer's vehicles.
Below are my bearing at 50,000 miles. |

After months of messing around with cheap magnetic, adhesive, and vent clip mounts, I finally found the solution I was looking for. Requirements were unobtrusive, securely mounted, strong grip, and easily within reach.
Ended up "sacrificing" the cheap cover plate under the HVAC controls with a short Ram Mount arm + spring loaded clip. I purposely didn't center mount since I wanted the ash tray buttons accessible and away from the shifter. With a 6" charging cable there's no clutter whatsoever. |

Was close to getting the ProClip but that was even more expensive. Not to mention the clip itself is not adjustable.

There is a version that is adjustable, which is what I am running now. You don't have to run their clips as you can attach anything to their mounting base

The GT has a "detuned" 720S engine meaning McLaren has equipped the GT with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 that generates 612 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. It's paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. McLaren, says the 0-60 is around 3.1 seconds but it really feels much faster than that. It's a brand new car so I don't push it much. The automatic mode feels numb after trying for about two minutes. So far I have it in Track Mode and the suspension set on Comfort. It takes the undulating roads here in Orlando extremely well. Today I really stepped on the gas since I just got it yesterday and I hit 94 mph in a blink but it offers silky-smooth acceleration that is very deceptive. The sound in Active mode opens the exhaust and gives it some bass. The downshifts in Track mode are instantaneous. I will add a short clip of a warm startup in the garage. It is a really nice car. The color is beautiful. The upper dash is black leather and the A-pillars are a lighter color but I love the headliner because that sucker is completely finished in leather. The fit and finish is on the level of a $200,000 car as it should. The Bowers & Wilkins stereo is disappointing at best. I thought I broke the radio but McLaren sent someone to fix it and it took ten minutes. Apparently it is an issue with a few cars and is software related. He basically just reset the system and it's fine now. That is the only issue and a minor one but we a driving to Sebastian, Florida tomorrow to show it to my friends and that would be a boring 168 mile drive with no music! I had a kid on his bike that was maybe six years old that crashed into the curb (he didn't get hurt) and he told his dsd it was nice. It was adorable. Guys have stopped me and said it was beautiful which is surprising. A guy in a Hyundai wanted to race and pressed the issue and I just let him be stupid on his own. |

Lets get back on track....
I received the two bottom items (12 & 21) to replace the worn out versions in my car. Item 9 (Part# 51167158473) shows as a backorder, Turner Motorsport says no ETA from BMW. Anyone have a minty fresh one laying around or should I order it on Ebay from Latvia (alone with a set of Carbon Leather trim)? |

On the "What did you buy your Z4" thread, there's a history of members posting photos of added stablemates to their Z4's. I like seeing and hearing about them...especially something as special as deemo319's new McLaren. Cool deemo319...Very Cool.

Well said 3798j....
Perhaps it is permissible to allow another fellow BMW enthusiast to post pics and share the joy of his new McLaren; perhaps tolerance and inclusion of another vehicle manufacturer has place and purpose.
