I try to have credit for future NCRC events, but it is still a $49.00 fee. I just cancel it and will never run with NCRC in the future.

Cancellation fees stink. This got me to wondering what other outfits do. NASAs policy is similar (no credit, cancellation fees). HOD is more liberal (credit or full cancellation with cancellation fees up to 7 days out). Trackmasters seems to offer the most liberal policy (full refund up to 15 days from the event). NASA, Trackmasters, and HOD do charge more per event. I wonder if the lower event fees of NCRC may be behind their cancellation policy and fees. By charging lower fees, I'd expect there's smaller margin to work within before they'd end up losing money on an event. In any case, maybe someone wants your spot? If you haven't cancelled it, I can do a shout out to some S2K guys I know and see if they want a spot. |

Hey, Krissi and I were wondering if there was any interest in grabbing some dinner in Monterey after the day at the track. I know it's the holiday season and all, but can't hurt to ask!

Aw man, any other given day I totally would. But my father is going to be in town during the holidays (he's usually in Asia throughout the year for work), so I will stick with the family after track day

But then I realized since I only live an hour away, there really wasn't a huge need to drive down day before. Especially not with NCRC, who doesn't require a ridiculously early mandatory driver's meeting like the other hosts do 8AM meeting time is easy as pie to get to, so I started saving on hotel costs :P |

Just registered along with a friend of mine from SoCal who also drives an Mcoupe. This will be our first time there, super excited to finally be able to drive this track!

Should be a fun day. My first time there too, so I decided to run in the Solo group rather than the usual Point By. So no passing in the corkscrew or Andretti curve for me! I take it you're in the Open Group? |

I haven't checked the website though; perhaps Open is the only group with spots remaining? I just hope it doesn't rain on 12/23. That way we can have more fun rather than less |

I signed up for the open group. Originally I was planning on signing up for the point-by group since it is my first time there, but it was sold out. I'll just take it easy during my first session to get familiar with the track.
And +1 on no rain for that day! |

I already started the anti-rain dances in betwixt studying for finals (as I've already told Ron & Krissi)
Here's to hoping for no rain! My last final will be on the 17th, and I'll have a couple of days to swap out all of my rotors and pads. These damn Brembo BBK components were expensive as shit I already hand-washed them clean with soap + water to get rid of the anti-corrosion coating on them. And on Black Friday, I got a small torque wrench for torquing in the hardware to mate the replacement rotor rings to the existing BBK hats. Then I gotta go through at least two good rounds of bed-in prior to the 23rd. So much to do, so little time. Hope it all goes smoothly and according to plan lol Last edited by mfanatic325; 12-05-2012 at 09:23 PM.. |
