^thanks very much shipkiller. That's a lot less than I was thinking. I have about 25k miles on them and don't think the lip is serious enough now to deal with. Will try and measure them this spring.

A 2" digital caliper from Harbor Freight is the one you want.
If you get the 1" caliper, you will have issues getting it over the lip on the brake rotor. |

got the z back btw.....
BMW good willed everything......THey spent 40 plus man hours and parts to repair the BMW assist crap and the airbag light.... Soon I will post EVERYTHING up including the paper work...... |

The minimum rotor thickness is 26.4mm (fronts). It is stamped on your rotors.
I just turned over 20K with a bunch of track days and mine are at 27.4mm. Personally, I would leave them and replace them when you get to the minimum. They are not cheap. Up to you. |
