ATTENTION:Challenge USA front lip/spoiler
I got tired of the Akrym hype, and the upcoming APR lip is too trackish for me. I really liked Challenge USA's M3 lip, So I contacted them to see what they could do for us. This is what I got.
"We could design a lip like this no problem. If we have enough interest, we would just need a local Z4M owner to let us use their car at our facility for about 2 weeks for the master part development. From a pricing standpoint, im certain it will be in the $1000-1300 range in full carbon. As you may know, we actually use FULL Carbon on our parts. We do not use any fiberglass filler like most others do and charge a high price regardless. Let me know your feedback on this and we can go from there. Thanks so much for the interest. We do have a Carbon rear hatch for the Z4M coupes with a built in ducktail at the end we are thinking to release. It can accept the oem window or a Lexan rear window we can make." I'm also inquiring about a add-on ducktail spoiler. Their address-Challenge Engineering 716 Tek Dr. Unit C Crystal Lake, IL 60014 |

It's good to see manufacturers developing / possibly developing parts for our cars.

Challenge speaks the truth. I'd love to see a Z4 offering for these items.
Since you're in OC, feel free to drop by and see the M3 pieces in person. The construction and attention to detail is amazing.

Dang. Seeing as I dd and track my car idk if I can justify over 1k on a lip I might just destroy. I probably go with apr considering price should be half of this. But we'll see, may change my mind depending how much I like this.

Link to pix? I would probably only be interested in a fiberglass or ABS plastic or urethane piece as well, for the above-stated reasons
Plus, I could always get the piece wrapped in CF vinyl if I really need that CF look. This way I save a ton of money. |

So everyone knows, this-http://www.challenge-usa.com/aero/E9X/gt-front-lip.htm- is the look I'm going for. Go from fang to fang while filling the center, and create one solid "lip". Will push for FRP to keep costs down, unless majority wants full carbon.
As for the Ducktail spoiler, I don't know what to expect yet. I will post any mockups and updates. |

sure thing...like I told Shaheen...I will be gradually turning this into a streetable track car so the more quality parts there are out there the better off I am. I have access to other vehicles, so it's my pleasure

If we are fortunate enough to have a car there, how about interest in a rear diffuser.

No lip for me, I better go with APR because it's the best fit for my need, but in other hand I would really be interested on the Carbon rear hatch for the Z4M coupe with a built in ducktail GB or not, if they have a picture it would make it a easy decision, I would not mind pick up before hand and give you guys a review on it, know the Price would be good as well.
I'm also in IL so I can drive there to see the parts if possible needed. A rear diffuser would be nice, but I got a hamann here already, may use it as a template could be something to look at. |
