an aside: my right rear fender has a scratch down to the paint. Should I get it blended with adjacent panels or should I just have the panel stripped and repainted with the factory code imola? She's spent >90% of her life in a garage but......

If it gets resprayed it could diminish the value. Like Z4-Villalona said, do it right, but try to avoid respraying it if you can. At shoddy shops, when the panel is resprayed it isn't taken off the car. This will lead to a rough feeling along the panel gap, and it's one of the first things a car dealership/car shopper checks when determining whether a car has been in an accident. I say avoid respray if you can, but do it if you must.

that's amazing that the fenders are bolt on! Now I don't have to worry about road rash and dings. I didn't think they were replaceable!
