Is there another part missing?
I've searched the threads and I've read all about the center storage light staying on. Mine is too but it's not a broken tab on the door, it's the actual cover piece that is broken. Going to just order one (and pulled the bulb in the meantime) however I think something else is missing perhaps? There is nowhere for the cover to latch to at the top side?
Talking about part #6 Which you can see is broken in the center so the microswitch doesn't get pushed Here is the good tab just for reference Here is the cover "installed" but there isn't a place for it too "hook" in at the top. Is there another piece that is missing I don't understand from the diagram? *edit: also HOLY CRAP that bulb was HOT!!! |

the leg sticking out the bottom of the rotating lid/door(#5) on mines just pushes on a momentary switch that sticks out of #6. Maybe the lever on the momentary switch fell off or the momentary switch fell off its mount.
Edit: #6 is just a trim cover, i dont think you need to order that. I would guess your switch lever fell off or the switch fell off its mount. Last edited by Phatty; 03-31-2024 at 02:17 AM.. Reason: more info |

Related, but not. In part 14 there are two push buttons. The lower one that opens the console and the upper one does what? Mine pushes in, but I have no idea what it does?
Thanks, Chris |

The top one releases your convertible roof from its stowed position, so that you can put it up (as per the instructions in your owner's manual - P21 in the copy I have).

To folllow up on the previous post…. If you have electric/hydraulic raised top, you don’t press that button… If you have manual top, then the comment is likely true. Interesting point is that in later years, that feature was removed, although my understanding is that the button remained.
