Greetings from Portland.
I bought the last Z4MC in Portland in November and got the discounts. Rarely see other coupes, have only seen one other MC, a dark grey in the Pearl. Joined the BMWCCA, hope to meet other owners at the events. |

That's awesome! lol, every time I go in there, I try to have them set my car so that the lights and clown nose flash when I lock it, but I have no alarm. But they say they can't do it for some reason.... should I bring it to you!?! lol.

I read around and saw that other people have it activated. This is for like when people want to retrofit their own alarms and such.

My clown nose may not light up, but I don't care. I light up every time I drive the M Coupe.
Even though I bought it new in November, it still had a lot of "dealer rash" on the paint. I have spent several hours with the Porter Cable Buffer taking as many flaws as I can out of the paint. I then applied Klasse All-In-One, and then Klasse Finish Glaze. Looks pretty good. A dry day last weekend, and a visit to the backroads of our wine areas in Yamhill county gave me a chance to really open it up. Almost got it to the redline. The last car I owned that had this much straight line acceleration was a fully restored '68 RT Charger with a 440. My friend came along with his Porche Boxter S, we were going to trade off during the drive, but we never did. He had trouble keeping up, he said he even "pushed the sport button"...? Anyway, hope to see more of our kind on the roads. Darren Last edited by DevilM; 03-19-2008 at 10:18 PM.. Reason: add photo |

I'm in Lake Oswego. Black '03 3.0i. Just got it, 1st BMW. Any local meets scheduled/on the horizon this summer? I see a lot of Seattle/N. Washington stuff, but Oregon seems scarce...
Hey DevilM...where are these back roads you speak of? Not familiar with Yamhill....thanks. |

I am down sometime. Although I sold my Z4MC like 7 months ago I would roll in the E92.

Doesn't look like there's much action on the NW forum, but I'm in Portland and have had a few Z's. Had a Silver/Black 1998 Z3 M Roadster when I lived back east, then (after a few lesser cars) a 2008 Space Gray/Imola Red Z4 M Roadster that I brought with me to Portland a couple years ago. Currently driving an AW/Black 2011 Z4 35is on a lease, but am hopefully (fingers crossed) about to acquire a 2007 BSM/Black Z4 M Coupe The newer generation has been easier to live with every day, and the torque is great with the tuned N54, but there's just something magical about the Z4M that's drawing me back. Not sure who else reads this board, but I've definitely seen a few nice Z series cars here in Portland...

I am in Tualatin. I bought a 2006 E85 M Roadster (titanium silver) in November of last year. I drove E46 M3 and 996 GT3 in Tokyo and, after driving reliable but boring cars since moving to Oregon in 2007, I finally gotten back to driving a decent car. It is nice that other Z owners wave as I drive by...

I'm in Portland. 2007 Z4MC AgTi...
Moved up recently (last September) from SF. Grew up in Corvallis; it's great to be back in OR! What kind of roads are fun to drive on around here? Mixture of a newborn, winter/rain, and now a torn achilles has had me drive my car very little since coming up. |
