welcome aboard! Good looking car man.
FYI, there's a Stromung exhaust group buy going on right now which could be a good start for the mod bug http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1124901 |

Looks great! Damn good in fact!
Here's a good exhaust comparison thread. I will say the Stromung is a damn good sound exhaust! Shameless plug--I have a lot of things up for sale. Many of which are enhancements to exhaust. The Euro Headers plus modified section I, with a muffler upgrade, would sound great. Miles? Service history? Asking as the S54, transmission, diff, have very different requirements than the N54. Questions? We're here to help. Last edited by Finnegan; 06-08-2015 at 12:48 AM.. |

So so nice man! Great choice! What do you think of the KW V3's? Planning on ordering mine tomorrow..
I recently installed Eisenmann Sport mufflers which give a nice fat tone which is about 20% louder than stock, so not super loud but a nice enhancement. Plus they look awesome with the big 83mm quad tips. Last edited by Digs; 06-08-2015 at 06:52 AM.. |

Welcome aboard! I like the matte look, is that a matte paint protection film or just a wrap?

Welcome! Car looks great.
As for exhaust, I'd recommend Euro headers for starters - it not only changes the tone, but also gives a nice power and torque boost. As for cans, I am running Remus and love the deep and smooth sound that is not intrusive inside the cabin on the highway. |

Xpel Matte Film for paint protection, washed the car for the first time last night, literally just wiped it dry and it looks new again.
Thanks for the pointers on mods, I guess I am going from just plugging a Cobb into my ECU from doing some old school power mods. This S54 has much more character than the N54 variant.

I thought the rod bearings were only a problem on the earlier M3 models. You should wind it out, the engine needs to breathe.

That's what most indeed think, unfortunately they think incorrectly. While I personally believe the issue is overblown and not quite as serious as a lot of people think, some are seeing a 60k mile change of the bearings necessary maintenance. Like I said, just research it a bit, you'll find out all you need to know. Just be sure to always allow this engine to get up to temp before winding it out. That's OIL temp, not the flashy orange lights on the tachometer.
