I was told they will be offering stage 1 through 5 just like the E46 M3 kits with similar power on gas, race gas, etc. Same prices too but with a group buy I know they will offer great competitive pricing. This looks good though.

whats with all this not saying the price B/S?? im guessing 20k plus..... i still think its worth it, this is custom shit yo!! costs money..... i do love a good turbo setup but on this car i stand by my orginal mantra, i think a 500rwhp supercharged z4m, drop a good amount of weight, and you will have a very serious car imo!!!

Bottom line, our custom built to customers spec setup is going to cost more than another companies mass produced kit, there's no denying that. If that's not what you're looking for then look into the other options. Regardless of the price for this particular customer, to another customer it may be very different. This isn't a off the shelf bolt on kit, it's built EXACTLY as EACH customer requests. You need this but not that, perfect we can work around it, you want an E85 fuel setup, sure no problem. You want only a pump gas fuel setup, sure we can do that as well and save a few grand. There's endless options when you choose EVERYTHING in the build! We are not trying to compete with HPF or their Z4M kit if it is ever released. We are offering an extremely high quality, hand built setup, catered to the way each individual customer wants it. This is no HPF setup, period, please do not try and compare them. They are for two very different customers looking for two different end results. Pricing given to this particular customer includes a full 4" exhaust splitting into dual 3" pipes into rear mufflers and quad tips. Exhaust is pretty much never included in anyone else's "kit." Trevor's turbo of choice was a GTX35R, a $2,400 turbo, for this setup a dbb billet 6765 again a $2,200 turbo. Compare that to a journal bearing 6765 used by HPF, $1,200 turbo. Completely new fuel system with our setup, new 6an lines from the intank pump to a Bosch 040 inline (no $100 walbro here), new aluminum fuel rail, upgraded Aeromotive FPR, ... I can go all day trying to show where the extra cost comes from. You don't want any of these extra's, no problem we can build a apples to apples setup as well. |

ermmm disclosing your personal income and sharing with a z4m commuinty the proposed cost for a turbo build is completely different, for the serious people out their this is worthwile info..... and even its very high, looking at the standard of work i i could see why.....its worth the high price for someone that wants a turbo setup, id 100% have this over the hpf setup anyday imo..... but i do understand why you wish to keep it quiet.

In my case,I didn't have the funds...but I did have the skills to design, weld and fabricate. But it takes the same amount of time generally in the end for these custom one offs. The choice of computer and its tune limitations is a whole other concern and cost choice. I think vendors could avoid a lot of questions with the Minimum to Maximum bids like just mentioned. It at the very least lets a person qualify oneself. Beautiful work by the way! I'm digging the dual screamer dump pipes....that should light up the night drags! |

Well done, and btw 30k is more than reasonable for the standard of work and general quality.... The hpf kit just simply cant compete imo.... Hell the hpf car has needed a "minor" part for the last 6 months.... Awesome stuff and you deserve recognition.

Congrats on jumping in on this man!
This is the "Gold Standard" in FI as far as our cars are concerned. Can't to wait to see the details of your build. Nice work Sir, bet you are glad you did not jump into a full NA build already

As stated I was in the market for a Z4MC turbo before I sold it to get a better car. David told me and Chris did before David left that pricing would start at $13500. It was stated all 4 times I have been there. So I believe them. Why would they lie to a potential customer that lives right down the street? Why would it start at $18000+? That is way to much for any turbo kit, regardless. These are not UR turbos going on Lambos kids... Just saying.

To those that understand why OUR custom setup costs what it does, here's some more updates! Completed intake piping, again full 4" turbo to filter accompanied by a 4" duct directing colder outside air towards the filter Fitted And sorry for the lack of updates this past week, last Thursday my TIG decided to stop working on AC (aluminum setting for a TIG). I sent it back for warranty repair which is 3-4 weeks out, we couldn't wait that long without it so after a quick discussion it was time for an upgrade! Here she is, just delivered yesterday afternoon and put to work today to complete what's shown above! Miller Dynasty 200dx and Miller coolmate 1 watercooler On to the fuel system next week! |
