Question about replacing front right low beam bulb

Hey everyone - I’m trying to replace the front right low beam headlight bulb in my 2006 z4 3.0 and ran into something a bit confusing.

All the YouTube videos I’ve found show a ballast being removed to access the bulb, which then just twists right out. But on mine, when I pull the bulb out, it’s actually connected to wires — not like what I’m seeing in the videos.

Before I go yanking on anything and break it, does anyone know if my bulb separates from that wired “container,” or is this a different setup altogether?

I’m a total newbie when it comes to this stuff. My biggest DIY win so far was successfully replacing the cup holder - so this is uncharted territory for me 😅

Yeah, you have traditional Halogen bulbs, NOT the optional Xenon bulbs like in the video so disregard the videos you found since they don't pertain to your type of headlight.
