Anyone knows about Porsche 962C's engine?

Hello to all dear 1addict members!

One of my friend in an automotive museum asked me a help. He is a seasoned Porsche mechanic, but he doesn't know much about Porsche 962C. Who would know something about a prototype race car? He said the engine is Andial 3.0 litre water-cooled with twin turbo chargers.

He is looking for engine oil capacity and checking guage(?).

How much engine oil required and can I check?

Anyone?

Call Porsche and ask. They'll have someone who'll know or can get back to you.

We already contacted Porsche, but we can get only spare part list. They don't have workshop manual or further specific information. It seems Porsche doesn't manufacture 962C's engine anymore.

I recommend he get in contact with http://canepa.com/canepa-difference/motorsports/

They have 917s, 956s and 962s, which they restore/service/operate at the Monterey Historics, Rennsport, etc.

Karl.
