Question for RE Diablo owners
Do these things smell funky when new or what? Also I notice they get much louder after they warm up for 10 minutes or so. Is this normal? They seem pretty quiet when cold then get going after it warms up a little.

Got the plastic off. Weird that it gets louder and yours quieter. HMM

I got a pretty good drone between 2000-2500 rpm, but would'nt trade them for anything.

That drone is normal I think. It's especially bad when you're in 3rd and 4th in that range and HAVE to be there ... Wouldn't trade mine either.

Now i've got my car ive noticed something about the exhaust, its doing something i dont think its done before. (car has been in the shop for a week)
I got my car back and noticed they straightened up the tips and the tips were sticking out like an inch + from the rear bumper which was awesome since i thought they were a little too flush. So i parked the car and left it over night - this morning the tips were back to flush again. Drove to work and the tips were sticking out again. Dont know why but looks like it heats up and exhaust moves out? Its weird. Anyone have this happen before?

Greetings -
LOVE the sound of your exhaust!! Just about settled on Diablos. I was convinced the Rpi was for me, until I read the threads and called Rpi directly....THEY said it's very loud and not for everyone. Tell me about your ZECKHAUSEN CDV-POWERCHIP TUNE. Where did you purchase? What does it do? Did it increase power? Who installed? Does it violate warranty? Would you recommend? Thanks!! Racerbruce |

ZECKHAUSEN CDV-POWERCHIP TUNE are two seperate deals. The modified CDV is just a larger valve to flow more fluid through to engage clutch quicker "CDV delete". Lots of posts on it. The powerchip tune is a pretty good deal. I believe ESS and RPI both have a similar tune. Powerchip is supposed to be coming out with a improved version this summer. Id wait on it then get it. I did both installs. Just through on some H&R springs this morning. Damn red loctite!

I'm 100% sure rpi tune = power chip tune.
On the powerchip website they have the same dyno graphs that rpi posted up about their tune.
