Wow some great choices this month! Was a tough choice, I really wanted to support the local with the Golden Gate Bridge shot in the background, but in the end it was the backfire coming out of the exhaust that won me over!

Looks just like a standard suction cup motorsport mount like I use on my car:

BTW - It looks like a DNF (opposite side of cone)

thanks, ron. earl's scatha was the inspiration. there are two bits to this...

1) inside the fender is ducting routed to the engine bay on the passenger's side. i tell myself it's for heat dissipation, but i'm not tracking the car, sooo... the driver's side simply mirrors the passenger's when viewed from outside, but turns down behind the wheel so that any water entering (rain, carwash, etc..) exits where the cowl drains are.

2) the piece on the outside is a heavily modified x5///m side repeater. the lights are functional, but you have to reverse the polarity to get the LED's to work. these are pricey, but imo worth it.

i do not have a DIY for this because of how involved it was to do it, but i'd be glad to help anyone through it if they are so brave enough to cut into the expensive OE parts. keep in mind, this is completely reversible. no e85/6 parts were harmed in this upgrade. e70 parts on the other hand... mutilated.

I actually did submit that one. The one up for voting was my submission for last month before I realized I wasn't eligible. Oh well...
