DIY for Coupe (E86) Door Weather Seal

Two previous owners of my 2006 coupe had badly worn / torn my driver door weather seal - it wasn't leaking (yet), but it was an irritant each time I got into or out of the car, so I replaced it.

I posted what I did on another forum, but couldn't attach a PDF, so I'm posting here too in case it helps someone else.
