It's like they just discovered the E85/E86 cars.

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

What did you think about Thomas' opinion on the E86M hydraulic vs. the E85 electric steering comment?

When he said it, I immediately though of you. LOL.

I'm not sure what I've said to deserve that, but, uhm, thanks?

The hydraulic steering in the M is great, and has a lot more feel than the non-M, but as hydraulic racks go it's only okay. And I never minded the electric rack in my 3.0si all that much because of how I drove the car.

Back to Thomas and James. I skip through some of their boyish silliness but in general I really like their take on cars. Good folks. They can borrow my targa whenever they like.

We've discussed the EPS vs. hydraulic in the Z4 before. (a good discussion BTW)

Honestly, I ended up in my E86 because of the C7. When it came out, I was highly interested in it but couldn't get over putting miles on it with my previous 165-mile daily commute (just a few times a week). I then looked at an '08 Cayman, but the IMS was a concern, even with the easy fix that came up for it. I then thought, heck, an N52 E86 would fit the bill nicely. Stone reliable and eats miles like an E46 does. Glad I went with it.
