Interesting Z4 on eBay.
This car looks to be fully loaded, right down to full Aero kit, hardtop accessory, navigation, and extended (2-tone?) leather - all for only $27,000. I think the only option missing is 108 wheels instead of the 107s. Can anyone make out what the band on the driver's head rest is?

Looks like a decent deal. Somewhat fair given the hardtop and nav. Those seats are pretty nice. It's hard to make out what that band on the driver's head rest is, but it almost looks like the Louis Vuitton green leather pattern. I really hope it's not though, 'cause that would be gawdy as hell!

Yeah, I was thinking Louis Vitton as well. Was there ever a designer edition of the Z4? I remember there are Neiman Marcus versions of some BMWs, but I can't recall which models...

Ok, it wasn't an option, but you still validated my point. I've only sat on the m seat, but If i was to do it all over again, i'd do a 3 litre with m seats.

Pretty nice deal... don't care for the cheesy hard top though.

I suspect it was dealer-modded because I don't see a non-OEM part on it. You'd expect an owner with such an... eclectic sense of style to buy aftermarket wheels, or at least a stubby antenna. Heck, they haven't even retrofit a MFSW or Audio Auxiliary Kit. It showed up like that, and hasn't been touched since. If it were Jet Black, I'd be tempted. Those seats would work better with a black car. Those wheels would have to be painted back to stock. And the hardtop seems to need adjustment - GP20's doesn't look like that. |

Actually seems a little pricy to me. With hardtop and nav I might expect $27k as a CPO, but not as a private party sale. Remember it is a 2003. For reference, I picked up mine for $25k as a CPO with 26k miles on it (and felt like I paid a little much). And I don't have the hacked interior!

I don't think it's a bad looking car at all. You should consider it, epbrown. I bet the car looks a lot better in person. Red leather with silver looks great, and you've already got the full aerokit installed which is easily $1000 painted and installed.

Good point takedown, didn't catch the aero kit. But it's certainly not worth $1k at resale time.
For an extra $15k you could get a brand new 2006 M Roadster... assuming the three advertised here are still available. I'm going to kick myself someday for not buying one of those. |
