Q: Removing the wood trim on console
Im in the process of removing trim but does anyone that did this know if there is enough room to stick a few magnets behind the trim on the passenger side for a magnetic mount ? thanks
I guess Ill find out in 2-3 weeks but wondering if anyone knows.. I would get slim magnets, thanks

If you didn't figure it out, the answer is yes, mostly. There's some space between it and the center console. Is it worth the disassembly? I would say "most likely, no" but it's not hard, per se. Very tedious though.

Having tried something similar with an ebook with a cover and a magnetic mount on a stationary bike.... May I suggest you stick those magnets under a similar material as your trim (finished) and see if what you are planning to "stick" is going to work.
I suspect that the magnetic attraction force will be greatly diminished....as was mine was. Would stick but easily dislodged. I can think of many things during my drives that would produce the shear force to dislodge.
