For our power levels 3.91 is ideal, you can push the car up to the 300km/hr!!!! do you prefer it from 4.10?
3-4 can be really quick, 4-5 is a bit tricky and will add another 0.3-0.5sec to your 60-130readings.... How many miles 4th gear goes? According to my speedometer is reaching 210km/hr at 8160rpm.
Another reading that we did today and I forgot to mention is the intake temperature. With a weather temperature of 19C the car intake was running at 27C and that when being pushed. It seems that the intake is very well designed and not being affected a lot by the engine temperature..... |
I changed my gearing so I wouldn't run out of 5th gear at my local track , was riding the limiter at 148 mph gps for several seconds at the end of the front straight at my local track and couldn't use 4th in another fast turn . Now I am able to use a lower gear elsewhere and am up to 153mph gps while not hitting the limiter in 5th . I am usually running 285/30/18 ,24.8 diameter . This essentially shortens my gearing so it makes us pretty close . I have huge speedometer error though almost 7 mph at 70mph so I only go by my aim solo data logger for track data . I don't shift at the limiter on the straight ( just before 8k) but it is around 123-24 mph top of 4th gps . Since adding the vented hood my intake air temps run at or under 20 degrees F above ambient during track sessions and water temps are running 210 degrees max on track after a 30 min session . Heck on the street I have trouble getting the water temps out of the 170 F range !
