^^that might work^^ ... I had some first hand experience at this using some hi test fishing wire...it generate soo much heat "sawing" it through the silicone. Its frustrating work!
Based on the attention to detail, and how thought out Dark Schnitzer has been with building this part. There is little doubt that he will provide a thorough DIY.
