It must have been great to be on the front lines and over-the-wall to support this team; so very exciting.

I pitted on a friend's sprint car in SoCal in the early 70's....back when Ascot Speedway in the LA area was still around; nothing like standing in the infield and watching 600 hp small block Chevy powered sprint cars going 120 mph down the straight and tossing it sideways on the 5/8 mile clay oval.
