Yes, the Z4/Z4M uses the same motor, motor mounts and subframe as an E46 ( M3 / 330ci), and the GS6-37BZ is also shared on one of the E46 platforms, thus would think E46 2J swap kits are transferable to Z4, but they are not.

Here is what I know:
1. GS6-37BZ mounted using OEM transmission mount pushes the 2JZ block to far forward, which means the oil pan will interfere with the crossmember:

I was hoping this would fit so I wouldn't have to have a custom driveshaft made, custom trans mount, and custom shifting assembly.

I was able to get the E46 CXRacing 2J sawp engine mounts to line up, but again, the sump would hit the crossmember. I'm returning these mounts.

2. To get the sump to clear the crossmember, I need to shift the entire assembly backward about 3.5":

Then she clears. One positive side to this is it shifts the assembly weight further back, potentially reducing the front to rear weight distribution issue I'll be adding with the turbo.
Wow that is a bit of a disappointment. Carbon fiber driveshaft Ftw!

What are the plans of use for this build? And potential power goals?
