These comparisons are plain & simply incomplete without including all seasons. Of course they will not be as good as the dedicated tires in either case, but it would be really beneficial to clearly understand how much is being lost.

For me summer & winter tires only are not an option as the shoulder seasons in Colorado are too unpredictable for summer tires and I don't want to be running winter tires as early/late as May & October.

Instead I go with a three tire plan. Dedicated winter tires (Oct/Nov through April/May), all seasons (April/May through Oct/Nov) and extreme performance summer tires for the track.
