500 miles should be plenty :/
What pressures were you running? I was running like 35psi all around cold, pretty high, since I felt like the tires wouldn't warm up too much in those kinds of conditions.
With DSC on, I could still run a decent pace. Mike got an unlucky first session out with me, in which I mistaknely used my typical DSC-off

I was surprised myself, at how difficult it was to drive at track speeds in the wet with DSC off. I typically drive DSC-off 24/7 on the street and have no problems lol. Go figure.
