The motor and pump can be relocated to the boot without having to remove the hood from the car. Its a bit of a struggle to get to the motor and release it from its stock location as its held in by zip ties that have to be broken by brute force. Most motors can be revived back to working condition by soaking them in diesel to free them up, general clean and they spring back to life. To lift the plastic container that contains the motor/pump in the original location I used a long bar forced inbetween the container top and its body and using a built up pivot point in the trunk forced the container upwards till the zip ties snapped, it was easy to lift it up and out into the boot, the cables and lines are long enough to repostion it at the side of the boot in the recess next to the trunk firewall.
