I always do this, no matter where I take a car. I even upload the photo to my Google drive immediately. Make sure you get a timestamped receipt for the car when you hand it over; don't just toss them the keys and say "See ya later!" I've had too much fuckery committed upon my cars by the very people who were supposed to be taking care of them, to ever really trust someone with them again.
Don't bother resetting the trip ODO, though, 'cause they'll just reset it too, after their joyride.
