The only thing of importance is what version is this / what languages / what chassis are supported.
Running it as a virtual PC is rather cumbersome. Why would you do that? What is the OS on the image?
The TIS version that usually goes around is ported from a unix enviroment to windows (the standard exe is supported up to winXP but there is an easy workaround for win7/8). Originally TIS is installed as a 'plug in' in DIS (which is unix based).
I have it running on a win8 tablet. Works nice with the touch screen
You can ditch a lot of data from TIS if memoryspace is tight on a tablet. There is a load of crap on the install which is needed for certain wheel alignment software..... (I think about 700mb or so)
