I have used BMW leather cleaning foam and BMW Interior Cleaner for years for plastic and rubber surfaces.

9 years without any issues. I applied a BMW leather lotion once and I didn't like the sheen so I stopped using it.
The leather seating surface and the steering wheel are factory coated with protectant and very durable (at least for Dakota Leather) and never needed conditioning.
