She knows she can't drive a manual transmission and they hired her anyway for the position.

If someone brings in a car for service and it isn't equipped with an automatic transmission she can't do part of her job they hired her to do.

And you should have asked right there when she came back and said it wouldn't start. It doesn't matter if it's 79,000 mile Z4 or a 3,000 Z8 (non-Alpina) she should be proficient at her job because driving a manual is most likely in her job description.

And your car is Service Writer proof!
