Noticed that as well, would like to be able to use the radio (and change stations) without the screen flipping back up, oh well.

It's pretty much for gloves... no really, very thin gloves haha. Yeah it's almost like the engineers are secretly laughing at the tiny glove box.
I've been thinking about these lately. I think that if you can make the ratcheting of the arm that holds the cup stronger (to make it actually grip the cup), it would actually be quite useful.
