+1 and the problem's not new. GM had the same problem back in 88 models. pretty sure they used a water based paint and curiously, IIRC, it was a german mfr. There was silent recall - I got a brand new paint job for an 88 firebird a year after I bought it. One of my fav cars, until I bought the Z.
